Can't beat a bit of Friday Afternoon Chuckie Egg Action. No other game has quite matched the level of adrenaline you can get pulling off perfectly timed jumps.

Just taking a break. Haven't died yet. Here's me showing off the nice simple way to get that pesky egg on level 5/13/21 etc. without bothering with waiting for the lifts. This can get important on the later instances of the level with more  grey dodo things and the giant duck to avoid.

The blue arrow is a tidy bouncing alternative if you find yourself stuck in the top corner.

Oh and you can get a nice tidy and pretty accurate remake of the greatest game ever made from here.. http://vroomfondel.net/chuckie/. Fuck know if it works in Vista though.

Just the title of this thread bought back oh so many memories.

I remember having to hit the space (Jump) bar at the exact right moment at the edge of the platform to get the egg without being killed.

Things start getting a bit harder here.

In fact, shortly after taking that screen shot I died. It was Si Pie's fault, he signed into msn and the harsh task of showing the msn signed in message at the bottom corner of my screen caused the frame rate to drop a bit which made me lose my rhythm.

Oh well plenty of lives left.

I actually remember that level. I think that jumping from one of the tall ladders in the middle to the other next to it was key to cracking it.

I can't believe that I remember this but in the bottom left corner the egg is on a slightly raised platform. It is raised for a reason.......

When the blue chicken on the left reaches the bottom of the ladder you have to jump over him and then climb the ladder.

The purple triangle bits? Bird feed? they give you back some health don't they?

Nah they stop the bonus counter going down for a few seconds so that you can get more points when you finish a level. They also give you a couple of points straight away. You don't really have health.

You get an extra life every 10000 points. So it's important to collect lives for the later stupid levels.

I think that SiPie is starting to sign in and out just to annoy me now. Oh well, back to the action.

Ah yeah, I remember now.

The blue cunt on the right ain't much of a problem, as with most of the eggs on the right.

I distinctly remember having to jump from one of the ladders in the middle at the right time. It's a case of watching what that chicken does and timing your jump right.

The bit on the left: DEFINATELY, you have to jump over the chickens head onto the lower ladder, it ain't easy and you have to time your jump perfectly.

Despite it being 20 years or so I almost remember it as though I played that level yesterday.

I'm miles ahead.

There are 8 different level layouts in chuckie egg.

They cycle through in the same order but you get more things as you repeat them.

So Levels 1-8 Are with just the grey coloured dodo creatures, 9-16 is just the yellow floating duck thing, 17-24 is both the yellow creature and the grey dodo things, 25-32 is with the yellow duck, the grey dodos and extra grey dodo's making it get a bit mental.

Here's level 25.

I'm actually up to level 28 now.

Hmmm, lots of dodgy looking blue cunts.

It's flooding back to me now, same level but more enemies.

Once I get my ADSL connection back I might have a go myself (Downloads and stuff).

More likely I wont bother though.

Did you find out the winner from japanesebugfigts?

Nah not yet. I promise I will one day. I couldn't see another fight with the awesome hornet dude which disappointed me.

I'm definitely starting to haemorrhage lives pretty quick now.

The extra blue/grey dodo thing on the right hand side makes those eggs at the top right a cunt to get.

The next one is even worse.

My guess is that taking the yellow elevator platform to the top will just synchronise (Sp) with you jumping inti the blue muvver at the top.

Although maybe a skilfull leap to the bottom of the ladder where the top blue muvver is may work. Maybe you can just hang on at the bottom of that ladder whilst bluey passes overhead.
