I am having real problems posting replies to topics, if you are reading this then I am obviously able to start a new thread.

Whenever I click on "Post reply", I am taken to the "Post reply" screen, but find myself logged out for that page. And I cannot post a reply without being logged in. It works sometimes but not always. Am I making sense?

I am having to use some ghey dial up connection at the moment which is no doubt the root of the problem.

I have tried deleting my cache ect but to no avail. Is there some other setting that I should change to keep me logged in permanently.

I know you've said you've deleted your chache and stuff but it really does sound like a cookie problem to me.

I can reply to this post (I did not get logged out)...... this is doing my head in.

I am fairly convinced that it is my dial up connection causing it.

I can't see how. Unless it's somehow cycling through IP addresses whilst your connected. Which doesn't make much sense.

You haven't accidentally disabled cookies have you?

Are you using internet explorer or firefox?

Don't think so, and I am using firefox.

Again though how is it that I can reply on this thread but not some others. Makes no sense to me.

I does seem like madness.

Goto Tools -> Options, click on the Privacy tab.  Click on Show Cookies. Scroll down to thetownend.com. Select it and click on remove cookies.

I think that you already know what I am getting at, but allow me to illustrate.

I open the thread, click on "post reply". And then I get this:

I only seems to happen on specific threads.

I might give up an be a "selective" poster for now.
