There is a bloody great big bee in my bedroom, a huge jasper.

Where did that git come from? Anyone?

Anyway, my question to you all is, does 1 bee make a summer?

It was colder yesterday than it was in the winter yes?

Today is better though. I am feeling a bit more optimistic about the weather now.

Nah, no more than one swallow.  However, I did see a decent amount of willow warblers in Savernake the other day, always a good harbinger of spring.

It is difficult to determine between seasons out here, asides from when it rains constantly for 3 months solid. Well that is the "Wet" season. Asides from that it is just constantly hot really.

Must get boring with it being 30c+ every day?

I look forward to it getting into double figures here.

I am claiming today as the start of the British summer, and confidently predict that we will be able to wear shorts and flip flops to the Millwall game.

And if Andy King is scouting Miguel again at that game, then I am sure he will treat us to his flip flops + white sock combo ala Wednesday at home a few seasons ago.

Not really.

At the moment the heat and humidity is horrible, although during the "Cool" season it is about 30-ish but with less humidity, quite pleasant especially in the evenings.

We are approaching the big fuck-off thunderstorm time of year, the type where the thunder literally rattles the window frames, I love that shite. The lightning storms out here can actually get a little scary at times, it's ace.

3 months of rain can be a bit of a drag though, especially when the klongs (Highly polluted cannals) break their banks.......... SMELLY.

we have a pet squirrel at work - It lives in the tree by the pool side window and comes up to see us - we called it scrat

I normally think squirrels are rats with nicer tails but I like this one - its more like a kitten

When I was at halls there were quite often large rats that roamed from their dwellings and scuttled across the paths/roads. It was quite disgusting and something we often compained about.

One day I was stood outside in the porch area having my morning ciggie when out of the corner of my eye I spied something grey running towards me. Thinking it was a rat I jumped out of my skin and prepared to boot the fucker as far away as I could. Upon turnng round I found out it was actually one of the squirrels, which promptly stopped a few feet from me and just stared at me for a minute before scuttling off. I think it wanted to go threes on my fag.

So I can conclude the squirrels are definitely not as bad as rats.
