My mother wants to buy a new PC, and after hearing everyone advice on here to avoid PC World. I need to know where is the best place to buy one?
Online? A family PC, between £300-500
Any advice would be grateful

Avoid PC world, Currys, Comet, Compaq and Dell (sorry Sussex!) Buy online at somewhere like mesh computers www.meshcomputers.com are very good and have a good reputation, if you do not wish to go down the route of having one built for them specifically (a fair bit cheaper).

I personally think that for Laptops, new, PC world is pretty good, provided you can deal with them trying to sell extended warranty. Do they still do that? The worst place i have ever seen for rip-offs is some second hand laptop shop in Cheltenham, it must be owned by the most delusional cunt, either that or his shop's on a street full of extremely thick cunts and he's very wealthy. Just found his shop. His prices have come down alot, but still pretty steep. He used to have laptops you could buy in PC World for about £500, within his shop as second hand at £1500 and the like. Most of his stuff was several years old and priced and the amount it cost when new, plus a bit more. http://www.notebooksuk.com/

Our firm uses HP laptops. They break very often. We use HP notebooks and haven't had a problem... Can Vista Business run with server 2003? I've ordered a new pc for work with business. Someone has to try it... :x
