Off to the pub to watch the meaningless friendly against our Gallic cousins.

The only positive thing I can say is that it's better than staying at home.

Go England (Like anyone cares..................)

I've noticed advertising for Suez at the ground...is it the Egyptians taking the opportunity to take the piss out of England and France?

An average game as you'd expect from a friendly really. No real bite from us. We passed well but didn't create much.

Claridge is the most clueless pundit I have ever heard, and if anyone ever says to you "I know what I'm talking about because I used to play the game you know..." then straight away you can say "yeah, well, so did Steve Claridge".

I thought Beckham had a good game  - better than expected and the wing backs done well, but Rooney is no lone front man, he does not know how to stay up front and wait for the ball.

And Owen and Crouch looked like a poor partnership

I didn't think we were playing with wing-backs.
