Took my car in to the garage for a simple MOT, and now it comes out with a 500 quid bill.
Fucking french cars.
I knew there was lots of stuff wrong with it but thought it would sneak past the MOT but no,
At the end of the day if they can fix it and stop it from constantly over heating(thats my main issue with the car) then i have no quarms in keeping it, but im not holding my breath.

What do you need done for it to pass the MOT?
The overheating shouldn't affect the MOT.

Could be a number of things. Simplest would be the thermostat. Worst would be head gasket.

Worst would be head gasket. i know what it is, and i know he's not fobbing me off coz i've allready had it looked at 3 times before just to see if i could find out what it was and now he's telling me the same thing. The two fans at the front of the car originaly siezed up, i took it to a garage about a year ago and they told me exactly what this guy has told me, but he managed to free them up and got em working again, he said it wont last but will be ok for a while, and now along with the fans the motors have totaly burnt out aswell.

I bought a Korean effort after I finally passed my test just to get me through a year of driving before I get some beast of a machine but I bloody love it.
Not only do they eat dogs they make surprisingly good cars. Thing is solid and reliable as a brick and has a boot of scoot about it as well.
Hyudai Coupe Evolution it gets me hard.

Have a look at eurocarparts.com
If it's just the radiator fan it should be a piece of piss to do it yourself. You might have to unbolt the radiator to move it out of the way but you shouldn't need to disconnect any hoses.
