Have a beer.

If you give a Pal a dead leg it lasts about 5 minutes.

Footballers dead legs last about a week.

I dont get it either.

Only once did I receive a dead leg whilst playing football, flip me it was painful, I was paralised and couldnt walk after the match, even the next day it still flipping hurt - to answer your question how long to recover from a dead leg, normally about four or five days before you even feel like you can train again. So out for 8-9 days.

What is a dead leg?

In medical terms - why isn't it just a bruise?

It's a muscle contusion. I had one a few months ago, like Dell Boy said it's very fucking painfull.

It's not just a bruise, a bruise is a broken blood vessel under the skin, a dead leg is interior bleeding and swelling within the muscle - it's painfull because the fluid build up has nowhere to go.
