My shower is as feeble as, er, something that's not very strong. Is there anything you can do to help improve water pressure? I'm rubbish with things like this...

with ours it was a buil up of limescale on the actual head meaning all the pressure was lost as the water hit the limescale, just took the top off and soaked it in some limescale stuff

we have a pump on our shower - they are quite expensive I think - well Im not sure if they are expensive to buy but I think they are quite tricky to fit so if you had to employ someone to fit it for you it might be expensive but it makes our shower ace!
do you have any builder mates?

I don't have any useful mates, to be honest. I was thinking this on Saturday when I woke to discover some pikey had kicked one of the panels of my car. I don't know any car people. Or DIY people. In fact I need to get myself some useful mates!
I've tried cleaning my shower head, it's not that, it's literally the water pressure itself. The bath runs fine but the shower is a terrible. It's so annoying, my missus showers at the gym. I don't go to the gym...

So has it always been like that, or got worse over time?
Is it an electric/power shower that heats the water, or does it take the hot water straight from the boiler?

does your boyfriend travel to berkshire?
it's always been crap, but has got crapper. It's an electric. If it's going to cost loads then I'll leave it, cos my house is on the market at the moment. But I could still be there for a few months...

I don't have a problem with pressure but my apartment building relies on the sun to heat the water tanks on the roof.
It has been cloudy of late and so the water is freezing, meaning that I have had the occassional smelly day of late.
Just thought that I'd share that with you.

I take it is fed off mains? The pressure will be slower this time of year because the shower has to work harder to heat up colder water. A more powerful shower may help (presuming your supply is big enough) but im no expert i just fit them occasionally.

if the bath runs fine but the shower doesn't, i reckon the shower would be the problem. the cold water feed would be the same for both i would think. i'd call in a plumber to check it out
