Slightly off the duck subject.
Here in the Land of smiles roast chicken (hot or cold) is usually served with an orange and chilli (They MUST have chilli) "Dip".
They compliment each very well, provided that they don't over-do the chilli.
I adore Thai food or any asian food for that matter.
I'd be in my element where you are BR!
Thai food is indeed delicious lady, and is my second most favourite (After Indian and before English).
Yet Thai food in Thailand has some certain twists to it.
For starters: Thai cuisine has a reputation of being the spiciest in the world, and for good reason. I have been here for 8 years and yet I still have to ask them to take it VERY VERY easy on the chilli. It just ain't the same as back in the UK.
Delicacies (SP):... FAT, in Thailand is considered a delicacy, along with stuff like skin, sinew and all the stuff that you and I would never even DREAM about eating. What I am trying to say is that when going to a Thai restaurant, in Thailand, you must specifically request for no fat nor offal be included in your dish whatsoever.
If you remember those two main rules then it is some damned good eating out here.
