Okay, from that picture it looks bad. It's unfortunate had his weight on that leg... if he hadn't he'd have just been up-ended
if his studs were stuck as well, that's just doubly unfortunate.

i don't think taylor should be hung, drawn and quartered for it but a three match ban for a tackle that could be career-ending seems a bit pathetic really, intentional or otherwise

It's horrible, and unfortunate, but sometimes it happens. To suggest Taylor banned for anything other than 3 games because he may have ended someones career would be wrong. You have to ignore the severity injury and look at the intent.

I hope Eduardo makes a recovery.

Just seen it on MOTD and my opinion is the picture in this thread makes it worse than it seemed full speed. There didn't seem to be any intent, he didn't look like he went in to do anything but win the ball. But Eduardo got there first.

absolutely sickening, hate to think a young player's career might be over. this shit happens but it's still horrible when it does. I didn't think the challenge was that bad but MOTD didn't show as many angles as the photographs so it's hard to tell.

Oh well never mind, how many lower league players have career threatening injuries that nobody cares about? He's paid tens of thousands a week, he knows the risks.

doesn't make it an acceptable event - how you just say 'oh well'?

The press that this gets doesn't change what has happened to him and it's not his fault what league he plays in.

Occupational hazard?
What i meant is that people get injured in all walks of life but when top player gets injured its deemed shocking, thats life.

i find it equally shocking when it's someone's career ended - be it League 2 or Premiership.Yes, it's an occupational hazard - so is being shot in the army - but it's still saddening when it happens.

it's shocking and sad when something like this happens to anyone. the difference here is that it happened on live television to a talented footballer who has his whole career ahead of him and is known to the vast majority of us.

admittedly, if it does end his career then he won't be hard up for cash.

Yes obviously its not nice seeing that type of injury but i doubt we would be talking about a league 2 players broken leg on here, i dont get all the fuss over premiership players they aint any different just get paid far too much.
