Sorry if it's been posted. Can't keep up today with you lot. Kevin Keegan has stepped in to deny Andy Carroll a loan move away from Newcastle.
It has been claimed that Swindon Town were keen to sign the giant striker, but a lack of depth at St James’ Park has prompted Keegan to put a block on the deal.
"A few teams are interested in Andy,” said the player’s agent Peter Harrison.
"But I've been informed by his club that he can't go anywhere for the moment.
"The only way he could go, in maybe the next couple of weeks, would be on an emergency loan.''

Carroll has been out on loan before, and I saw him for the Newcastle yoofs last season and I genuinely wasn't that impressed considering he had a pretty good reputation. I'm sure in 5 years this comment will haunt me, but I didn't see a lot in his game except he was huge sompared to the other yoofs.

i think he'd have been a quality signing, especially as i don't think corr will be available for the rest of the season. without corr we lack a targetman.
we'd need to shift sturrock though
