I went to Suju's opening night. I was the only person there. Was about a year ago, they opened earlier than they were planning to get some pre-xmas cash in I think.
It's not really new anyway as it's pretty much the same as Soda.

Everytime i have been in there it's been 1 or 2 other people. Even when my band played there as well.

It's because they get better bands like Wheatus to play there, then they realise that the venue is too small.

I remember soda being shite thats about it. When it was Vadim's (late 70's early 80's) it was decent, you had to be a member and there weren't many late drinking venues in Swindon. Decor and stuff was a bit naff, and it was small, but you got a good crowd up for it. Someone always seemed to know of a party to go to somewhere within a 20 mile radius of Swindon.

As much as I love you Reg, I have to say I was a twinkle in my fathers eye (late 70's early 80's)

I like that sort of continuity. When it changed from Vadim's, someone from the old punters tried to burn it down, as the new owners wanted to make it a bit trendier and banned all the old regulars.
