You should have eaten it. I had pheasant for Christmas dinner once to see what it was about. OK nothing special for the money. I'd have taken that bad boy off you SY for a fiver.

For all you animal enthusiasts - a must have for Xmas http://www.amazon.co.uk/What-Shat-That-Pocket-Identity/dp/1906051127Synopsis Ever wondered what wild creatures visit your garden at night, or which animal produces the world's biggest poop? Well, here is the book that will solve all those debates and will answer that crucial question, "What shat that?". Ideal for any nature-lover or amateur biologist, "What Shat That?" is an original and authoritative survey of the substance that, like it nor not, unites every living creature, from your pet dog to the giant African land snail. All of the major animal species are covered, together with some of the more wild and exotic species, and full-colour photographs reveal eachtype of poop in all its glory. Handy identification tips and 'Scat Facts' run throughout the book to help you gain confidence in your poop-identification ability. It includes a special colour-comparison chart for in-the-field classification; covers all the major animal species and each type of poop and much, much more...than you probably ever needed or wanted to know!

Wasn't so long ago that I had a 10ft Boa crossing my street, it was lucky that I didn'r run it over. He took AGES ta cross, so long that a bit of a traffic problem developed.
I also an Owl in Lawn woods once, that was cool.

Couple of summers back, I was a stumbling down Marlborough Road at 4 or 5 in the morning, after a misssion in Covingham, when I saw an owl on the trees at Bruddel Grove. It was well excited hooting till its heart was content. I guess the Lawns is good owl country.

do you know langley lane reg? single track road from lechlade to clanfield, near langford and stuff.
i've often seen a barn owl down there when i've been driving back from swindon of an evening.
not long ago saw a live badger for the first time, just a hundred yards from my house - i was well chuffed.
