How long it takes to get from Wembley Arena to Paddington?

The gig tomorrow night's supposed to finish around 10.45 - 11.00 and the last train's at 11.30.

It's going to be a bit of a rush me thinks.

the TFL website can give you optimum times dude...but that doesn't take into account ineptitude on TFL's employees part

Hotel's are all booked up. If push comes to shove there's a later train to Didcot, I can get picked up/taxi from there.

Not that its any help to you Sam, but up until around teh railways were privatised, you could get a last train about 2 : 00 am, which was basically a mail train, one of the coaches was 50% seats 50%  baggage space. If the coach bit was full you sat in with the sacks.

Or more likely slept in the sacks.

What's the best route on the tube? For Paddington to Wembley I'm thinking Bakerloo to Baker Street then change onto Metropolitan. Then just vice versa on the way back.

Looks as though I might have to leave early if it's not finished by 10.30ish.   Crying

Sam...best thing to do is look at how the lines are running when you get to Paddington. Your best bet is the circle or bakerloo to Baker Street dependent on how the lines are running. Then you get the choice of Jubilee or Metropolitan and again chose which one is running smoothest.

Cheers Si. I've had a look on TFL and it reckons maximum journey time of 26 minutes between Wembley Park and Paddington, adding on the 10 minute walk to the tube station from the arena means I can leave it til about 10.45 so hopefully won't have to miss the end.

Don't forget there's going to be loads of people leaving at the same time though, so the tube might get a little mental.

Yeah, thought about that. We'll make our way to the exit before the encore, then depending on the time, leave then or wait til the end then be the first out.

I'm going back via paddington too (my sister lives in Maidenhead so staying there).

Done it loads of times and the tube will be busy but they run plenty. Don't worry about leaving the gig early; you'll get there in plenty of time; i've never missed a train yet (had to run for a few though  Cheesy )

All looks a bit tight to me.

But if you go by train, remember that  a return to didcot, then a return from didcot to paddington with travelcard (for tube) is a lot cheaper than a return from Swindon to Paddington with travelcard. Even though it is the same fucking train.

Obviously you need to get on a train that stops at didcot to validate the 'split journey' - which does limit you a bit.
