Some help please.

I want to be able to rip DVD's onto my computer; there are loads of programmes around you can buy but i want to get a decent one.

So; anybody got any good experiences (or bad ones so you can warn me away). I don't mind paying for it as long as it works well; but free ones would be nice too.

Dvd shrink is a decent free one.
