   We've never had a jam thread.   I bought two jars of Hartley's black cherry today.....it was a decent price for 2, as opposed to one.

   As ever making your own is the way forward.....nip out to Lotmead Farm and pick a load of strawberries, or scour the hedgerows for damsons, or plums.   Crab apples can be picked for jelly...which is jam with a bit more water.
