Bape/Banbury et al. Do we know for sure that Mr Diamandis has actually gone/disappeared/left his post at STFC? Or is it just supposition?

Has he been sent forth ‘to multiply’ or is that just the new training scheme title for Sandys balance sheet accounting department?

Mike D is still there behind the scenes he certainly is not gone

Heard today that it's all sounding very promising with Fitton which is encouraging but the big date for the team side of things is the 26th Nov as if a deal hasn't been done by then they won't be able to bring loans in which they have lined up.

Not sure if he is correct about the 26th, I thought it was the 22nd for expiry of loan window.

Edit: Expiry date changed

Is it gospel that both the CVA and £60k debts must be settled to lift the embargo?

Embargo not lifted and it won't be before the deadline... No new players until January then!

Yes it is gospel, and to be honest we are lucky it is only an embargo we have in place.

Both debts are the responsibility of the current clowns, therefore any effect on the squad/Sturrock/play off push is their fault

In the Football League, loan deals are permitted until Thursday, 22 November at 1700 GMT.

However, in exceptional circumstances, clubs can apply for special dispensation to the Premier League or Football League outside these times - for instance, if they had no goalkeepers available.

Transfer window is then open 1-31st Jan for loans and permies.
FL loan window is open 8 Feb - 21st March (1700GMT)

Forgive me for being pedantic, but is it definitely written in stone that the CVA must also be paid to lift the embargo? I only ask as I had an idea about the £60k, but it becomes irrelevant if the immediate bill to lift the embargo is effectively £960k.

It's probably a bit less because HMRC have been paid something already.

The league are in my opinion being good to us at present. Of course none of us want a transfer embargo, but this is pretty mild compared to what they could do. I would rather have this than a points deduction, (although that could follow too)
And if it concentrates minds at SN1, maybe it is a good thing.

Not all £960,000 ... unless they agree to make it roubles.

So I take it that paying the debts alone will not lift the embargo?
