This is proper 'friend of a friend' stuff, but apparently due dilligence has been completed with Fitton & co and everything is all but ready to be announced by the 16th November deadline given...

I'm not believing anything until its 100% confirmed, but it's interesting to hear nonetheless and I was wondering if anyone else had heard anything or knows anything..?

Probably a load of bollocks!

Assuming it is true, that was quick. They only started the process last week didn't they? Yes they had all the information to hand following BEST, but even so.

We'll see I guess.

I think the key difference here, is that this is not a takeover.  This is an additional investment.  The board are not being replaced, they're staying put, so I wouldn't have thought that this would take as long as the "Best" episode.

 Yes

So was Bob Holt talking bollocks (again) when he said the current board would stay?  Because why would you want them having paid £xxm for the club?

That makes even less sense than the Power statement today.

Well, it wasn't due diligence that caused the delays with BEST it was haggling over the terms of the deal. Getting due diligence done is comparatively easy

Colin- Whilst they are buying the club they are hardly going to say

"You lot are useless- and we want you out ASAP" are they. This will hardly strengthen their hand will it when it comes to finalising any deal.

They may stay in the short term, but to be honest with thebuesiness acumen of Fitton if the deal is completed on 16 November i think they would be gone by xmas
