I still can't escape the nagging feeling that since I've been going, we've lost to a non league club in each decade....60's Kettering,  70's Tooting,  80's Dagenham, 90's Stevenage.......

So far in the 00's we haven't,  we've got 3 seasons left....any league club will do for me.

Tooting and bloody Mitchum, Jimmy (Walter) Gabriel on loan from Bournemouth was in defence for the Town, I think.  Weren't the Town were winning 2:0 with about ten minutes to go, and then lost the replay.   Tooting management were on MoTD with David Coalbucket absolutely delighted.  One of the lowest points in history, along with the 3:1 home loss to Oxford, which still causes emotional distress.

At least against Stevenage (Graz scored?), there was a gale blowing, and it was a stick in the eye for Macca.

The draw is on today at 5.10pm hosted by Sir Trev Brooking with John Hollins and Paul Parker doing the draw, I think its live on BBC 1.

Actually I've managed to find possibly the cheapest pub in London, near to where I was working this week, so that wouldn't work out too bad.

A hot baguette and a pint of Strongbow for £3.89. Bliss.

Would this pub be handy for an away day against Brentford?

I was pondering this earlier. It's just off High Holborn, so I reckon a short walk from there to Holborn and onto the Piccadilly line to South Ealing. Failing that, Bakerloo line to Waterloo and get a train to Brentford station. In other words, it's pretty damned good.

I probably shouldn't mention this but a double and mixer (Smirnoff, Gordons, Bacardi, Southern Comfort etc) is only £2.29.

A good find considering the location is usually pricey!
Which pub would this be Si? What with living on High Holborn it would be handy to know!!! Unfortunately the Shakespeare's Head (Wetherspoons) on Kingsway has become our "local"  :?

It's "The Goose" which is next to the WH Smith on Leather Lane (near Chancery Lane tube station but walking towards St Pauls).

There's a statue type thing of a Goose outside  :?

But it's actually an alright pub, certainly Wetherspoon esque, but it has pool tables downstairs and some tellies to show sky on. Dunno what it's like in the evening though.
