This game is indeed superb. The speed has improved dramatically. It's so much quicker in general it pisses on the new Fifa. The passing is still smooth but it's harder because you have to get it right to a tee with the pace and direction. Shooting and heading has improved a lot as well. It's harder to direct a shot now and the gameplay feels better and the shots are more realistic. The dive feature is great as well.

On terms of the game in general the commentry is much better than the last one. The menus look better and are easy to navigate. There isn't that shit music. You can edit teams and players which you couldn't do on the least one. And a big thing for me is that you can save replays again because the last one didn't have that which was dissapointing. Superb game.

The only slowdown ive noticed on the ps3 version is on the replays, other than that it's superb.

Yeah I heard this. If you install the game onto the hard drive, it should help with the framerate skips. Tbh, they shouldn't be in the game at all with how powerful the console is. Shoddy programming. I am still waiting for my copy from amazon.  Crying

This happens every time a new version of PES comes out. Thousands of users around Europe all logging into the Konami servers via Xbox Live and it struggles to cope. Give it a few days and the new game novelty will wear off and thus the lag dissapears.

Has anyone played it on Ps3 online?  Does that run smoothly?

Harder to pass and harder to shoot. Other than that then yes.

I haven't tried yet but it's suppose to be quite shoddy at the moment, Konami are working on a patch that will fix the slowdown and online play.

Through balls are a lot better and if you shoot with players like Gerrard and Lampard you can literally aim staight at the keeper and it will still go in.

Still, it's a lot more playable and harder to tackle.
