.....but I thought we looked like a half decent team today.
With quite a few carrying knocks or coming back from injury, it can improve, but was impressed with Easton and Peacock particularly in midfield.
You can see why Tranny are doing well, typical team for the league, big and strong and defend effectively, I suppose they lack a bit up front, but an impressive win. Happy days. (PS, I'm trying to forget the Boardroom shit at least for an evening, and go and enjoy my beer)

I think I may have even joined in with EIEIEIO.... I've seen enough false dawns, to know its pretty stupid to get excited at this early stage of the season, but its just good to have a team, that has capable performers in all positions, that works as a unit.

I agree, my fear though is when January comes around.
Will we stick with what we've got (possible)
Will we add to our squad to push on (fuck all chance)
Will we trim the squad budget by getting any money we can for any of our players (probably)
Its important we dont rip this squad apart, sure we can trim and few off here and there..... but bar the odd Arrieta, Almedia, Sturrock, Rigley, Caton and at a push Pook - no one from this squad should be going out the door.

agree about peacock and easton, both were superb today. comminges, nicho and smith in goal were a bit ropey imo. as was ifils passing, infact ropey is being kind to ifil.superb interceptions though

Thought Smith was his usual steady self....I'd still like to see Brezovan though.

Great team/great manager.
But my mum always used to say 'if something is too good to be true, then it probably is'.

Tranny were solid and you can see why they are doing well. The sort of team that wins games 1-0. I thought we got the tempo up in the second half and really went for them. It was a one goal game and tbh at times it could have gone either way. But we did well at the back and stuck at it and it payed off for us.
Great to see Nico, Aljofree and of course Corr back as well. Corr looked good when he came on and it was a great finish for the goal.

i thought we were impressive today, played some good passing football at times yet mixed it up as well. undoubtedly deserved to win, i was beginning to think that it could be one of those days where nobody scores despite deserving it.
easton wasn't as influential as he has been but played well, peacock was vital for us in the middle of the park and providing cover to the back four. paynter and cox were superb, roberts and jp supported them well.
ifil and aljofree - back to the best partnership we've got, nuff said. comminges had a decent game although overcomplicated things at times. nicholas looked very rusty which is hardly surprising given one reserve game in god knows how long - has he played this season?
wasn't at gillingham, so probably the best i've seen us this season.

very impressed with today. every man won his battle, and we're now upto 7th with a game in hand.
i cant help thinking we're going to get 10 points knocked off though.

no you're not. i am bitch. and we were good today. Barry did ok and it was special to see him score on his comeback. Jerel was great at the back but wasted it going forward a couple of times. I was surprised today by Easton's amazing air-work, never seen a short-arse win so many headers.
