whenever i log on here, and that is millions of times a day!, there is always between 50-150 posts that have been posted on here since i last logged in?  :?

I've noticed this as well. Visit the site at 9am 250 posts overnight. have a quik flick through, then piss off onto thisis or the BBC site for a bit, come back ten minutes later and fuck me 275 new posts! How the hell did that happen!

It took me fucking ages to realise that if I left this site, but kept t'internet explorer window open, and then came back to the site a bit later, and did a "view posts since last visit" search it didn't reset the search criteria to 0. I'm guessing it's because of the cookies or summat. Someone techie and nerdie like Barry Scott can no doubt explain it in words that I'm sure will be perfectly accurate but completely incomprehensble.

Leave the site, close explorer, then reopen it and revisit the site and bingo it only shows you the posts that have really been made since your last visit.
