I used to get round this by doing the following. I suggest you follow a similar pattern:

Wake up at 1, make some food, maybe grab a beer.

Watch Neighbours soon after.

Decide what computer game to play. Probably involves monkeys from space or some sort of mario game (like mario kart). Whilst your deciding what to play, get a mate to roll a joint (optional).

That should sort you til about Countdown time. By then hopefully the green's worn off a bit so you can make as many rude words out of the letters. PLay this game with your mate - loser rolls the next joint.

Deal or no deal is on next. Use this opportunity to make yourself look really clever or a complete spaz by saying you would/wouldn't have dealt at that point. Enjoy the joint your mate will inevitably provide you with. Call Noel a cunt at every opportunity. This is the real reason for this show.

After all that excitement it's probably time to chill for a bit. Maybe another beer. Hopefully you'll have another mate that's shown up who you can tell to cook some food for you.

Watch Neighbours again as you've probably missed some of the more subtle points that they often throw in.

Then you've got a whole eveing of aceness to look forward to.

Alternatively, try and avoid breaking quite important bones in your body, (back and leg spring to mind), then you could go back to work and avoid daytime TV  Smiley

You're sat in front of a computer with (presumably) broadband internet connection.

Virtually all the TV ever recorded is out there if you can operate the mouse and keyboard (which clearly you can) and can be arsed to look for it. There's really no excuse for Deal or No Deal.

Si Pie your posts have got a lot better lately.

agree that daytime tv is gash. its also a bit of a freak out, the people on there are nutters. i particularly like any program with angela rippon presenting, she's so falsely enthusiastic and can't hide the fact that she really looks down upon the contestants on the 'flog it!' style shows she's desperate enough to be on.

Daytime tv is a tool of the government.  They've made it shite so that when you're ill you watch it, and think 'you know what, I'm not that ill, I'll go into work tomorrow.'  Saves on productivity loses.

I've managed to cut down to 2 hours a day of Jeremy Kyle, but before summer I was watching the full schedule....  an hour on ITV in the morning, then ITV2 and ITV2+1 throughout the afternoon....  Fuck knows how I passed my exams!

Especially if you play the Jeremy Kyle drinking game - hear one of his 'phrases' take a drink. You'll be pissed by 10 o'clock

Speaking of which didn't he used to be an alcoholic?  I know he had a gambling problem...  I've heard rumours he battered his wife as well?

He's still a legend in my eyes though.  Speaking of which, only 1hr 8 minutes more to wait til today's fun-filled installment.

from the bbcwebsite: District Judge Alan Berg said the ITV1 daytime  programme was "trash" and existed to "titillate bored members of the public with nothing better to do".

Judge in state the bloody obvious shocker, but it can be funny as hell
