at least if you live in Swindon and your supplier uses CityLink for delivery (which most of them do these days, including Amazon). Reason being CityLink in Swindon is in total chaos - they've merged two offices and installed a new computer system at the same time which, predictably, has gone down faster than a cheap whore and with similarly messy results.
I've finally managed to get the parcel that should have been delivered to me last Friday after repeated lies from CityLink's "Lack of customer service" dept about "it's on the van" (it wasn't), "it'll be there by 5.30" (it wasn't), "definitely today" (no, and not the next day either) and the missus wasting an afternoon and me a day waiting in for them Eventually gave up and said I'd pick it up myself so they gave me the address for the depot that's closed, went last night to the new depot only to be told that the parcel was still at the old depot (which is closed so you can't collect anything from there). To be fair, the guys on the ground at the depot were fantastic - couldn't have been more helpful, not just to me but the other two blokes who were trying to get parcels at the same time while I was there, but they're obviously struggling against impossible odds. Will probably take a week to sort out.
In the meantime, if you live in Swindon and are wondering why your Amazon parcel or whatever hasn't turned up, that's why. And don't bother using the tracking code thing or ringing CityLink to find out what's going on, because they haven't got a damn clue and will just make up any old cack to get you off the phone.

Citylink's customer service is dreadful to say the least. I used to have to deal with them all the time in my old job and i was just wasting my time really. If anyone needs to use a courier i urge you to avoid Citylink like the plauge.

They all are. I have to use Omega/DHL. If you are having something picked up they give you a number, which is actually totally useless. Its not the parcel tracker. Only the number on the barcode on the parcel actually represents anything.

its what the fucking companies get for swapping their deliveries to other companies. Royal Mail might not be brilliant, but we're alot fucking better than the other mugs in the game!
