I've heard of the bloke but couldn't tell you anything about him to be honest. But if Sturrock thinks he's good enough then that will do for me.

Well, let me tell you what gets on my tits. Whenever we sign a player (I know we haven't signed Dobie yet and may not) some one, or more usually several people, will say, "Oh no! Why did we sign him? He's crap!" or something along those lines before he's even kicked a ball.

As for the bit about being stupid to disagree with Sturrock. Well, to a degree, I think that some one who has done absolutely nothing in football effectively saying that a person who has one of the best records in the game doesn't know what they are doing, is indeed quite stupid.

OK, so the next response is, "Yes football is all about oinions....etc" Indeed it is. But if some one like Sturrock signs a player who you may not rate, surely you should be thinking "Oooooh, well I never really rated him but obviously Sturrock has seen something that perhaps I have missed" rather than just dismissing that player out of hand.

I know you've decided you don't like Sturrock but you can't argue with what he's done and people should trust his judgement a lot more than what they do. I'm not saying he's always right but you must  accept that he knows a hell of a lot more than the 'average Jo'. Or perhaps you don't and you just think he's very, very, very lucky
