Just in case anyone gives a rip, Monkhouse wasn't in Hartlepool's starting eleven or on the bench on Saturday.  Could he be injured?

Hasn't featured at all for them this season (not even on the bench) so I'd wager he is injured.

Broken nail or split ends I reckon.
