Me again. The big glimmer of hope from the official statement from Bob Holt is that it says TAKEOVER, not investors.
Do we read between the lines here to think that the board have stepped down,or just a bad piece of getting the message out. You know what they're like.

That is all I have picked up. Thats the nugget I was searching for! I'm liking the sound of the second paragraph a lot. Not a moment too soon. However, the intent of the Castro Brothers investment/takeover remains unclear. I guess the wait continues for further information. |

This is the text that currently appears on the OS. Tuesday 14th August 2007
The Board of Swindon Town Football Club announced today that a contract had been signed with Best Holdings SGPS S.A. that will see them take control of the Club.
Spokesman for the Club, Director Bob Holt, explained that more information of the new investment would be released within the next few days but stressed that in the meantime, it would be very much business as usual at The County Ground. In one breath it alludes to a takeover as in "take control of the Club". Then in another breath mentions 'new investment". Allow me to remain confused if you please... :? |

That is all I have picked up. Any personal take on whether this is the dream takeover we have been waiting for, or whether it is the start of a new nightmare? I guess we'll have to wait and see, that's if all the details come out. |
