I have played and survived 90 mins with Bunny. Always remember my mate telling me about "this ref" and that I'd get booked for nothing. Turns out, the model pro that I am, I never did get inside his ref's notebook.
RIP.

my most memorable run in with him came when i sheppered a ball out of touch for a goal kick.he gave an indirect free kick to the opposition and took me on one of his legendary walks up the other end of the pitch almost, for a ticking off. he reffed me loads of times and i cannot remember him booking me at all.even though i totted up plenty over the years.had good banter with him
anyone know if eddie paper still refs?another old boy and a lovely guy to boot

bunny was great - bloody hilarious at times ! One time we were playing and our left back cleared the ball into touch fairly hard - ball went about 100 yards out of play. Bunny blew his whistle and made the lad go and fetch the ball - telling him if he didn't he would send him off for ungentelmanly conduct !
His son Dave is a nice fella - Land of bo do you remember a blonde bird called Caroline who worked with him in the EMI offices ?
