Dizzee Rascal was alright to start with, when he didn't seem to give a shit and was quite off the wall. Don't like his new stuff one bit.
What have you heard recently by Jesht, OF? Nuke Proof Suit was appalling considering the talent he's got. Hip-hop has been dead for 10 years across the pond, and while we had a brief flurry of good talent here for a bit I think it's died off pretty quickly again. Still get the occassional gem though.

Still get the occassional gem though. i've been listening to the stuff he's done with lewis parker off its all happening now, couple of tracks downloaded from return of the drifter and a tune called money in the bank from the low life 40 compilation. and nuke proof suit which has grown on me. have just re-ordered return of the drifter and falling down after stupidly selling my copies on ebay a while back. got parkers first album on its way too, and one of soweto kinch's efforts. do you listen to mf doom or any of his other incarnations at all? he's a genius, as are madlib and count bass d. agree that decent releases are a bit thin on the ground of late.

Looking forward to Kano's new release though, his first album is classic classic? thats a bit of an overstatement. there were a couple of good tracks at best. how about sway if we're talking overrated uk 'urban' (urgh) acts? some of his stuff i've heard is alright. people tend to put anything mildly decent we produce on a pedestal though, when its really quite average

The only MF Doom stuff I've heard is Madvillian, which you put on here ages ago. I kind of liked what I could make out of it but it was all jumbled up, with tracks repeated several times. Have you heard Communication by Jesht, I think it's on a Lewis Parker album? Possibly my favourite song by him. Also, if you don't mind conspiricy theories, check this out......

Sway's album is poor, the only track on there I particularly like is "This Is My Demo". I personally think Lethal B is overrated as well, never really got him
