OK, not around much tday (work) to advise but what do you mean "it doesn't do anything".

1. Firstly, is this a new ADSL router? If so which make/model is it?
2. Can you "see" the router from your PC (wirelessly) when you scan for it?
3. Does it "connect" to the wireless network? If you are using XP you should see a little icon in the bottom right bit of the screen (sys tray). If it has a yellow triangle over it see below (DHCP)

Best guess is that if you answer yes to 2 and 3 then it is likely that DHCP isn't enabled on the wireless interface by default (for security). This assigns your computer an IP address as well as other info..

If you answered no to 2 or 3 we'll start again.

I think your routers settings are set to make your network 'private'. Should be an option to make your wireless network visible on the router config page.

Is the 'wireless' light lit on the router. Is there any way to enable it from the routers configuration as it may be disabled by default?

edit : oh, ok. i assume youhave assigned an SSID,etc

If all that is already done, try changing the channel from 1 to say 10. Sometimes things such as video senders, neghbours using the same channel, etc can kill the signal.

I assume wireless works on your PC ok Smiley

Gotta go now will be back around 12:30, hope it works!
