Failed it's MOT in spectacular fashion.
Brake pipes exploded from front to back when they put it on the roller things (lucky I wasn't driving it at the time I guess) plus loads of other stuff. Estimated £500+ to get it through, cost £400 last year, so the fucking things getting scrapped.
The challenge: 2k budget and 24 hours to find a car and get back on the road.
Grrrr.

Just an old L reg Mondeo, only cost me £1000 and lasted two years which isn't bad the amount of miles I do.
Spent £50 on a new tyre Saturday too, because it would have failed without it

I fear for my car also...so much wrong with it; I'm too scared to take it to the garage - and the MOT is due next month.
I've been offered a Mondeo Verona 1.8 on a S plate with a genuine 44,000 miles, fsh etc for £900! Only problem is it is in Aberdeen which would mean £130 on a flight up there to get it and 2 tanks of fuel minimum to get home, plus I've not driven it yet to check it out...

Not the prettiest beast but not old and likely to stay intact for a few years, cheap too! He's done well.
