Holgate told me Saturday he was talking to Weymouth (seems like they like our rejects) and will probably sign with them this week was told apparently by Paul ince he would take him to Franchise when he left Macclesfield but hasn't heard from him, Iffy tried to take him to Gillingham but I guess Jepson didnt like him and that Yeovil were going to offer him a contract but didn't.

Fola Onibuje is on trial at Shrewsbury after badgering them.

Speaking of the deal Shrews Boss Peters said, He's kept phoning me to see if he can come up to train with us and I've invited him up for a few days.

"He's not got a club at the moment, so we've said that we'll have a look at him.

"He's a little different than what we've got, he's 6ft 7ins and very quick, it is unusual to get those two attributes together.

"He's still got a bit to learn, but can be a handful and he scored for Swindon when they played up here last season."

we never really got to see if he could make in midfield though.  He wasn't too great upfront but the game against Brentford suggested he really could have been a good midfielder.  Bags of energy, got stuck in, able to get forward but equally able to track back.  He had a stormer and it was a shame we couldn't see if it was a one off or not.

What match was it though that he played sh*t in?  By sh*t I mean it looked like he had never kicked a ball before in his life.

No idea, but I'm not sure he was played in midfield after Brentford.  He played out wide in one game I think, sort of a combination fo being a winger and a forward through the game.  He was awful then, kept losing the ball with his back to goal and generally looking lost.  That's my point, he never looked good when he had to play in an advanced role, which is odd given his youth record, but seemed much more at home running at people, or facing them.

Don't get me wrong Chubber, I liked the look of Ashan I just remembered being a bit shocked at that performance that's all.
