Regretfully this is now a no-goer.
 
I have spoken to the people concerned and we are of the opinion that before we feel comfortable to enter into any form of sponsorship, we require certain clarification and answers given to questions regarding ;
 
The current position with the proposed new investors, and their aims and aspirations for the club.

The proposed schedule of the "self imposed transfer embargo"

The conclusion of the CVA

The confirmed status of Paul Sturrocks authority over the playing side of the club (signings and team selection etc)

The investors commitment to the redevelopment of the County Ground on its existing footprint or within the conurbation of the town.

 
I trust that this is acceptable and I thank you for your time.

Fred, I think you have spelt out what a lot of us are thinking!  I, personally, agree with the decision.  Perhaps you should copy it to the so-called powers that be, Starnes, though I don't think he is really in the loop.  As I will not be contributing to the sponsorship now I would be happy to make a contribution towards the running costs of this forum, we all get a lot of fun out of the TEF, I suggest if we all made a definite commitment of, say £10, it would make a big difference.

There are ways and means of doing things and I thought that if we were going to turn this down then we needed to give a rational reason or reasons why we took that decision.
