Gazza's Fat Mate

« on: Friday, July 20, 2007, 11:29:13 »

As some of you may or may not know due to the fact that I am skint and live in Milton keynes (formaly Watford) I do not get to many home game and pick carfefully which away games to go to noramlly the big ones Gillingham, bristol etc etc. However as you all know these games have a heavy demand for tickets as such supply is limited. However due to my best mate I am always able to get a ticket.

It was said last night that people get pissed off that i get tickets as I don't go to that many games etc. However when i do attend a game I do always have to travel a very long way and as poeple know I do put support the team at the game and I think this makes up for the fact I don't go to every game.

The question is it wrong that I get tickets to big games instead of a moe local fan who goes to more home games etc?

Couldn't give a shit either way, the way I see it is you're an extra person through the turnstiles, so what if it's for a "big" game or not?

Theres always people that will moan about people further away/less regular getting tickets......Ignore them - youre a paying customer like everyone else and have just a much right to have a ticket.

That's really low.

You should shoot yourself Wink

If you have to pick and choose games due to distance and finances of course you're gonna want to go to the bigger games and if you've got a mate that helps you out, fair play.

I would say providing you get a legit ticket there's no problem - for really big matches ST holder get priority - if you can get one through an ST holder fair game, once they are open sale then it's a free for all - you snooze you lose.  Our core fanbase is 5000 so frankly aside from the biggest of away games with a small away allocation everyone who wants a ticket gets one.  I'm soon to be an occassional fan and accept I might struggle for some games but that's the way it goes.
