Everton have the financial backing to do this stuff. If town did that then we would have to reduce our squad to say 18.
Id rather the board did what they feel is financially best for the club

I guess time will have to tell won't it. :-))(
And when you say Everton have financial backing to do this etc. its not exactly costly to give fans an opportunity to voice an opinion is it?

It is to get a major company to do teh research, sending out a ballot for 55,000 would cost £16,500 for postage, god knows for printing then the staff to check and evaluate the results. What I meant was we are a small club and its time we realised this.
I am sure Fred will come on later going on about the board etc

No one is suggestion using the same methods Everton used as its obvious thats well above what we could afford!
The point I was making was that I commend the idea of giving the fans an opinion - in whatever form they choose to express it - obviously a financially viable one. Especially with regards to a stadium - in a situation where Evertons fans want their club kept in Liverpool, we want ours kept in Swindon. Just stating the circumstance isn't hugely different and it would be nice for our club to handle it in a similar fashion.

Thats fair enough, I agree we should be given a view but at the end of the day it is their club (technically) and they dont care about fans

They have never and will never care about the fans.
Perhaps under a new regime it will be different.

Swindon fans are generally a bit retarded, letting half of them state an opinion isn't the best idea. Look at the travesty that got voted in as the new kit.

We've already gone down that route, you lot have short memories!! You voted for your new shirt design (how come the crap one actually got accepted), the new badge (ditto) and 80% of the local residents were in favour of a ground-share. How much more open do you want the club to be!!!!

Also one stated 93% or something supported the fans consortium.......
However the importance of a shirt design and badge in comparison to other aspects is relatively small.
