Was just thinking, as im sure some people on here are creditors in the CVA would it not be simple to just issue a winding up petition and in the light that there is a viable rescue package, force the takeover by the FC??? or is that just too easy?

I think that is all too easy - this lot give the impression that they have always been in control of what will happen, so I would guess that they will have covered their arses against that happening somehow.

Just because Mike Diamandis is used to his companies going bust really really really does not reassure me.

And Im sure he does have his OWN arse covered somehow.

As for a hostile takeover, very risky surely?

Maverick, if they go into liquidation they have no chance of holding onto it.  My largest cliesnt specialises in liquidated companies and explained the ins and outs.  With their record over the past 5 years I cannot see them keeping hold of the club.

Personally I think they have the 900k and will announce its been paid tomorrow. Just doesnt make sense how they seem to ignore power

Not what I meant. I meant one of the smaller creditors on this site could put in the winding up petition, knowing full well that there is a viable financial rescue package available, thereby forcing out Diamandis and his goons.

I do not see that they will go into liquidation - it makes no sense - it may not bother some of them, but SSW would lose a shed load. It would also mean we would lose our league status I believe, so again it would leave nothing for anyone to takeover.

I also cannot see them getting money in without it being a takeover, as nobody would invest money without also having control, based on the current financial position and track record.

Blimey you have changed.

If done very quickly (within hours) they may be able to resolve teh FL standing I believe.  Not an expert though on this area

Ah, but you haven't reckoned for St Modwen to step into the equation. They've got a lot riding on the future of the club, it wouldn't be in their interest to see us go bust.
