For anyone who is interested

TRAINS: Newcastle to Carlisle £14.50 return.

Hell of a lot quicker than driving plus you can drink along the way!

Just slightly.......not only do I not particularly see the point in a flight AND train from Newcastle to Carlisle.....but I dont think it is much better if you got it right...considering the effort flights involve with having to be early for security etc etc blah blah blah.....just drive or get the train all the way.....it really isnt such a bad journey

I guess its not the best way but pretty good financially if you dont have a car!

I went to watch England at St James Park a couple years back. We drove to Bristol airport and flew to Newcastle. It was very quick an easy and far better than driving. And you can all drink. I dont mind a little train journey on top as well. If i go i will be flying up thats for sure.
