This is great news, the bloke has got a bigger head than that bloke out of the goonies.  Good riddance to the bloke.

I stopped watching Soccer Am a few years ago, but started again when it got put on Sky 1.  Good laugh at times but some of the material is wearing thin - the soccerette item, is identical to when it was first shown.

I've been watching the Skysports weekend morning football coverage since a more serious show presented by Gary Stevens, Jane Hoffen and Russ Williams was on (anyone else remember that?) -

Yep ... those were the days! Cheap-o Sky Sports!!!!

Well I enjoyed Soccer AM, the guests were often pretty good and I like the music on it as well, in fact I have bought a few albums on the back of hearing songs on Soccer AM (Cold War Kids notably). Lovejoy is obviously an egotistical nob but I didn't let that get in the way of my watching the show most weeks.

Richard Hammond or Dermot O'Leary would be good...

Johnny Vaughan's not doing too much at the moment is he?

Thet did (briefly and unsuccessfully) try to change the format about 5 years ago - only lasted a couple of weeks

I think it needs a complete overhaul or axing .  Now Torquay are non-league it'll make things more difficult as there's a degree of lower league involvement gone.

after a bit of thought ....I think Flammable Ben should take over and he could introduce some of his pals as the series went on .. Yeovil Red .. Mex .. Chubbs .. Bennett

that would be wicked!

As long as it isn't that knobber that does "You're on Sky Sports" and Goals on Sunday (Rob McAfree?) then that's alright.

Richard Hammond?

Russell Brand?

WTF do they know about football?
