Following from the retro gaming thread, I've had a bit of an urge to play this again.

To be honest it's also down to somethingawful.com. They've got a play thread where people watch whiles a dude plays through the game and makes funny comments about it.....  http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=2407660&perpage=40&pagenumber=1

In my opinion it's not as good as 3/6 or chrono trigger.

I do still have my PC copy of FF7, if anyone wants me to do a flammableBen version of a taking the piss out of a game as I play it then say.

I'd be just as happy to do any of the snes FF's or Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross.

Anyhoo, I can't be the only person this geeky here.

I loved FFVII and FFVIII on the PS. The later versions on PS2 just didn't feel right to me. Surely the death of Aeris is the saddest video game moment ever.

I remember losing my game save after 27 hours. That was my sadest video game moment ever.

I then had to indure the immense pain and jealousy of having to watch my housemate complete the game.

FFVII & FFIX were amazing on PSX. My pc was too crap to run FFVIII so I've never played it. I recently bought FFX on PS2 and was quite enjoying it til I had to play some stupid gay underwater game, blazeball or something??. Lost interest pretty quickly... think i'm just getting old.

Some of my favourite RPG's/Action/Adventure (this definitely deserves it's own thread)

The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past (Snes)
Secret Of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2) (Snes)
Illusion Of Time (Soul Blazer 2/Illusion Of Gaia) (Snes)
The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GB)
Final Fantasy VII (PS2)
Final Fantasy IX (PS2)
Broken Sword: The Shadow Of The Templars (PSX/PC)
Broken Sord II: The Smoking Mirror (PC)
Diablo (PC)
The Legend Of Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time (N64)
The Legend Of Zelda: The Windwaker (GC)
