If you hit the submit button and it's taking ages then most of the time it's posted your message but isn't loading the next page, where it asks you if you want to view you message or go back to the forum. Pressing submit just reposts it.
I think it's probably easier for your bit part protest forum Sam, The TEF is the hub of STFC discussion and so blatantly pushes the bandwidth a bit.

To be honest I was winding you up.
I'm not having problems at the moment. But it does seem to happen randomly. I'm guessing even the occasional slowness is down to Database connection problems. Crazy stuff.
