I recieved an email this morning from an american music magazine saying they think my band are kick ass and think we'd be good on their next compilation cd. Apparently these compilations go out mainly in California, Los Angeles and Hollywood areas, also being handed out at this years Warped Tour. All sounds a bit too good to be true for my liking. I emailed them back asking for more info. Trying not to be too excited incase its some sort of scam. I'm sure they'll be some sort of fees to pay or something... :|

Hope it's not a spam email like those "get listed in the who's who" letters you get asking for money to list you in some book no-one reads (i.e. not the real who's who). I guess you'll know If they ask for money.

I know some companies do compilations where you pay a small fee to cover costs of printing but its split between all the bands. But they contacted me, so I dunno. I'll just wait til I get all the info before I jump to conclusions I think. A little exciting nevertheless |

If you're going to let them have original material, try and copyright it in some way (like sending the original DAT to yourself by registered post then shoving it in a bank) That way if you have got a killer song or riff they won't be able to rip it off. Good luck fella
