One of my housemates is a Villa fan - he's not happy with it (like the majority of their fans).
One of the reasons behind the change is in their quest to increase their global image... So why replace Aston Villa with AVFC?
The positioning of the star isn't very good either.

WHY??? Chelsea and Spurs have gone back to badges that look more like their old badges... We've pretty much done the same. It's also about simple designs being "in" as mentioned by Janaage.
