talking about BT home hubs, has anyone had any luck getting rid of the cack software that comes with it from BT, like all the random tool bars, that gash connection manager and found some way of actually specifiying which MAC addresses you want to let log in rather than having to hand the CD out to anyone that wants to ?
I want the wireless connection zero thing back from windows XP, I thought that worked quite nicely - I'm having a go this week probably, but any tips would be welcome.. Just use a different browser to view the net. I use Mozilla Firefox. Gets rid of all the toolbars.

Download 2866kbps Upload 4218kbps How are people getting such immense Upload speeds? I want one! Being on a huge corporate network kind of helps I'll run the test again later when I get home. I expect my download will be about 6.8mb and upload around 2.4mb.

Press the windows button and r at the same time and type services.msc into the box. Then right click on wireless zero config and go to properties. Then you can change the start up type to automatic and use windows to configure the wireless connection.

I was going to test it again now I'm home, but it's piss poor because
a. I'm on Tiscali
b. It's peak time
c. Tiscali have shocking contention ratios that completely fuck your speed

Is anyone on plus.net premier? I'm thinking of upgrading from the basic package so I get a better contention ratio. Incidentally my new pc has a faster connection than my laptop does
