Got this today. Not a bad listen but not sure if it's as good as the first album. I'll probably listen to it a few more times before i decide which one is better  Cool

Tighter musically than the first album, singings improved as well. Loses something in that though.

Yeah maybe so... but hearing  a song every five minutes on the radio that you onced loved can soon make you despise it after a thousand times... bottom line though, theres far more to music than the artic monkeys... they dont even scratch the surface

Actually scrap that, i'm entitled to my opinion. I once liked them, saw them three times. They released their first single, the recording and production wasn't as good as their early demos. I was dissapointed with this, and that was that. bothered. who cares.

yes it can do so dont listen to the radio every day. it's why people download things and buy CDs. there is far more to music than them because music isn't one band or artist. i dont care if loads of people like them either. it wont change my opinion of them

I prefer a bit of Billy Bragg.

The Torygraph readers love him.

I quite liked the Arctic Monkeys. Got a bit sick of them though, but then I never thought they were amazing.

Might give the new album a listen sometime and see if they change my mind a bit.

To be honest I made up my little mini-review having not listened to the second album ever and not listened to the first album for a year-ish. I was just wondering if I could blag someone to agree with me. To far gone up a thread which seems to have lost direction now.

Never been that bothered about the arctic monkeys myself. First album was good and I listened to it a fair bit for a few months but to be honest it wasn't worth all the bumery which went with it.
