That film went up 5500 places in the amazon website chart yesterday.I would not say it was to blame but feel it obviously influenced him

Within 24 hours of the shootings OldBoy was blamed. Ridiculous. It'll probably end up banned in the State of Virginia or something.

As he made explicit references to Jesus in his ranting monologue, whereas the "OldBoy" reference is solely an inferred visual one - the image echoes dozens of others from news pictures/film images throughout the 20th century - surely the Daily Mail should have been running a schlock story about the Bible being to blame? It's an idiot paper for the tutting classes.

Not to say the film didn't influence him but you cannot entirely blame a film for his actions, and you can't rule out other influences
