Just been reading about them.
* No water supply - cut off a few days ago * Nine fit proffesional players * Nobody's been paid since February * Face eviction from York Street next week * Winding up orders, problems with the CVA
Does anyone think they might not be able to fulfill their fixtures for the rest of the season?

On a very selfish note though, Boston going under would be good news for us as I assume the records for the season would be expunged?
MK took 6 points off them this season while we only took 4, so we'd go 8 points clear?

I have to say whilst it's a little sad, the circumstances of Boston's promotion to the FL in the first place is at best controversial - Dag and Red fans I certainly believe that them being promoted at the expense of Boston would be a sweet revenge for Daggers being deprived of promotion a few years ago.

It would be sad though to see any football club go to the wall, not quite sure of the circumstances surounding Boston's problems but I think it stems from an owner that wants the ground for property redevelopment

That'll make Dagenham & Redbridge's promotion far more sweeter.

Good news for us but in terms of football it is a bit sad. gotta feel for the Boston fans - as ever, its not their fault

Steve Evans has today hit out at the Football League, claiming it is withholding a £100,000 payment to cash-strapped Boston United.
The Pilgrims were due to receive the windfall - paid to all League Two clubs - as part of a pot containing sponsorship and television money.
But according to Evans, Boston have not received the cash because the league doubt they can fulfil their remaining fixtures.
The Pilgrims have just three games left in their battle to avoid the drop, but only nine senior professionals will be available for Saturday's home game against Chester.
However, Evans (right) is confident the club will see the season out and will draft in help from the youth team if need be.
"There is no doubt in my mind the programme will be completed, but the Football League think otherwise," claimed Evans.
"If we have to play 11 youth team players to complete our fixtures this season, then we will.
"The chairman, Jim Rodwell, told me the League is holding up a payment of around £100,000, even though every other club got theirs on Tuesday.
"Given the situation we're in, it doesn't help us at all."
The Echo contacted the Football League, but they could not shed any further light on the situation.
However, spokesman John Nagle was optimistic the matter would be clarified later this week.
"Despite my efforts, nobody at senior level connected to this issue was available for comment," said Nagle.
"There is a Football League meeting today and I hope to speak to the relevant people after it has been concluded."
Despite repeated attempts, Boston chairman Jim Rodwell (left), was unavailable for comment.
But should Boston be unable to complete their fixtures, the Football League did confirm their record would be expunged.
That would mean the current table would look different, with Walsall taking top spot ahead of current leaders Hartlepool by two points.
Struggling Wrexham could also earn a reprieve as Torquay are already relegated.
---------------
Wonder where our £100,000 has gone?

interesting that if all matched involving boston were expunged (their word not mine)
this is how the top three would look
Pld Wn Dn Lst For Agt Pts G/D Walsall 41 24 11 6 62 30 83 32 Hartlepool 41 24 9 8 60 34 81 26 Swindon 41 23 8 10 51 34 77 17
last game of the season would be even more interesting

I hope they go bust, they don't deserve to be in the league in the first place.
