because it's my birthday, and my kindly parents, friends and family have given me some money. I've got a bit of a shopping list so far, but I want some recommendations So far, I have: Roots Manuva - Awfully DeepRough Trade Shops - Indiepop Vol. 1The Wedding Present - George BestI've been listening to Braintax a lot lately, so wouldn't mind checking out some more stuff on the Lowlife label. I might get Jehst - Falling Down or Skinnyman - Council Estate of Mind but I'm not sure, they any good? Any other recommendations are welcome pleasethanks. (by the way, I'm going to be on Radio 6music next week)

Didn't really like Deloused, and as far as I understand the new album is even more prog and that's not my thing (despite my nerdiness). I like the track Skinnyman features on with Braintax, so if I can find it I think I'll buy that. I've got Return of the Drifter and it's sort of passed me by, really...
what other Phi-Life albums are worth buying?

I suppose they'd come under the rock genre, Sheepdog definately is rock, but then tunes like Mr Moon are much more mellow. They recently featured in a sony advert with "Motown Blood" which was a funky little number. I'm not just saying it but this album "Bring 'em in" is without doubt my favourite of the 21st century so far. Hurricane Bar, their follow up album is just as good but I thik Bring 'em in is a perfect introduction to the best Swedish band for years.

Sheepdog, Mr Moon and To China with love are all excellent tracks to sample the Diao sound. Hope you like it.

I'm liking the samples of cold water music. Most of them anyway. Cheers OF.

I expect you would like these albums. Go to hmv and you can have a little listen.
Herbaliser - Very mercenary
Mark B & Blade - Unknown
Both came out around 2000 but are quality hiphop albums.
