Sounds like last nite went ok, but the residents want to see plans. On Wiltshire Sound this am, Bob Holt explained that 'green' areas were going to be kept by the south stand and the stratton bank.
Also according to BH, STFC and St Mowden have had a 'Dis-agreement'. St Mowden had plans which were too ambitious. BH was more concerned about the residents nearby.

The falling out with St M doesn't sound so good, as they may very well now pull the plug, although it could be a ploy, because if the football goes another development may be a lot worse for the locals.
I don't think Holt is bullshitting when he says if this fails then there is another site in Wiltshire or they will look outside the county....my money would be on Newbury.

I don't think the fan base in Newbury would be that great either. Reading QPR serve that area already. And surely there are more mockneys in Newbury than there are here.

Depends what size of club you'd be looking to set up, take as you template something like Rushden......middle of nowhere, but with excellent community style facilites......was easily getting 4 or so thousand last season. OK Griggs has backed out, so they're down the pan, but a place the size of Newbury may well be interested in gaining bespoke sporting facilities.
