I have some to claim from Barclays. Anyone know the quickest way to get the 6 years of statements so i know how many charges i have had? Also will it cost me to get this info?

it's a decent website and it's where i got all my letters etc etc from

You can either pay £25 for each one (another stupidly huge charge for such a small request) or can make a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act 1998 which basically entitles you to everything on your bank's records. The maximum charge they can make for this by law is £10, and that includes everything.

With a SAR they'll give you a 40 calendar day deadline which they have to stick to by law, but they'll normally respond before this.

Im about 24 days into my 40 day wait for the previous 5 years of statements. Got the first eyar to me really quick. Guy in my office claimed £4000 back from halifax! :shock:

Oh and most of my charges came when they reduced my overdraft by £250 and didnt give me enough time to get the moeny into my account to cover it! :evil:
