Have upgraded to 2mb. Bit worried about the 1gb a day though 'cos internet's shared with my housemates but we decided to go for it as it doesn't sound like they'll do anything unless you go over it every day. Nice and quick. Can download an album in 10 minutes with bittorrent.

Just upgraded to 2Mbit from 750K for no extra cost! Think NTL are going to really corner the broadband market soon. Someone I know who works for NTL has also told me that NTL will be buying Telewest soon!

Id never have NTL their customer service is seriously bad. I'd love to know where this myth comes from. Have you ever had NTL Yeovil? I have NTL for nearly to years now and found them to be very good. They supply me with phone, tv and broadband and the two or three times that I have had to phone them they have always been superb. Now if you really want piss poor customer service I can recommend BT. When I first moved in here I contacted them for a phone line to be installed. Over three weeks of me calling them, waiting for someone to call back, waiting for an engineer to visit......ect, ect. Finally gave up and went to NTL. Still received a bill from BT for £27, yet never at any point was I connected to their service!

I haven't had to phone ntl for over two years, but when I was first on cable then modem before that ntl customer support was truly awful. Huge waits on the phone only to speak to a useless cunt because their service was so poor.
Since then their service has improved hugely, not had a problem with ntl for years - touch wood - so I've never had to phone customer support.

Ntl is alright, only problem is the internet tends to stop working every now and you have to reset the router which normally fixes it. Not sure why that is though, my parents have got BT and it's a lot more reliable.
We had to phone customer service during the installation and they were a bit shit. The guy who does the "Press 1 to speak to some cunt", "Press 2 to speak to some other cunt" things used to be Mystical from the glc, fascinating fact there.
£17.99 a month is not a bad price though especially as I only pay a 1/4 of that.

My broadband customer service is really good, and the connection is really reliable. When i had trouble setting wirless t'internet up, the bloke spent ages on the phone trying to help me sort it. As i live in a house with 3 others (previously 4) i don't really like the idea of download limits, so my connection is only 512k/256k though. Best place to look at how good your ISP really is: www.adslguide.org.uk

I must say I used NTL for about 2 years for my digital, phone and broadband. The customer service is the worst i have ever come accross bar none! The digital TV is shocking, always crashing and even though they supposedly fixed it on numerous occasions it would still hang. I know loads of other who had same problem.
I then quit them leaving just Broadband and the amount of hassle I had just trying to cancel was riduculous! I would never touch them again! I must say the Broadband is very good though even though the only time i called the help desk that was appaling also! Poor customr service really does fuck me off!
